Pomfret or Avoli fry(Avoli porichath)

Ingredients:

  • Pomfret or Avoli : 4 or 5 cleaned pieces.
  • Turmeric powder: 1/2  tbs
  • Red chili powder: 2 tbs
  • Salt: as required( 1/4 tbs)
  • Oil: for deep fry
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:

Clean the fish(if the whole fish) well and cut into round shaped pieces.

In a bowl add the fish pieces, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix it well using hand. Keep aside minimum of 20 minutes.

In a pan heat the oil deep fry the fish pieces. Add some curry leaves into the pan at last stage of frying. Fry the leaves and remove from the pan.

Serve the fish along with rice, chapati etc….
