“Porichunda” is a malabar traditional snack. Its very easy and tasty dish. Just like “cheeda” snack, but in bigger size and some more ingredients.

Try this special snack.

Ingredients: 

  • Nice Rice flour: 1 cup ( nice powder, like “pathiri” powder)
  • Rice flour : 1/4 cup ( not too much nice, like “putt” powder, big size rice particles)
  • Water: 1 cup
  • salt :
  • Black sesame seeds: 1/2 tbs
  • Sugar: 1/4 tbs
  • Oil: For deep fry

Instructions:

Mix nice rice flour and water with a spoon.Add 1/2 tbs salt, black sesame seeds, 1/4 tbs of sugar and 1/4 cup rice powder with bigger size particles. Mix well using hand and make a smooth dough.

Make balls using the dough. Using a stick make a hole in the prepared dough ball, from one side to another.

In pan heat the oil. Deep fry the balls.

Take care when fry the balls, may be balls will be break from the pan. So make a distant from the pan to ensure your safety.
